State of Schools Art 2026

Superintendent of Schools Maria V. Navarro, Ed.D., is hosting a State of Schools event for parents, staff and community members at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The event is virtual through Zoom. Those interested in joining must have an active Zoom account.

During the event, Navarro will provide a short overview on the state of the school system and the Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) 2025-2029 strategic plan. The plan includes four focus areas: student achievement and college and career readiness; safe and inclusive learning environments; staff recruitment and retention; and family and community engagement. 

Attendees can ask questions and share feedback live in the Zoom chat. The event will also livestream on the CCPS website at www.ccboe.com. Viewers following the event on the CCPS website do not need to join the Zoom unless they want to ask questions or provide feedback.
